Pre-School
Our Pre-School serves children aged six weeks to K-4 in a caring, nurturing environment.
Using maternal care as a model, children are addressed on their physical level, with eye contact and soft speech from their teachers. They are routinely hugged and comforted—not only in times of trouble, but as a means to establish strong relationships with their caregivers.
Beginning in the Pre-Prepper class (two-year-olds), Carolina Prep students benefit from music and art classes on alternating days, and daily foreign language classes in Spanish. They also have learning opportunities in our theater, gymnasium, international market, library, and technology center.

Carolina Prep is pleased to offer a blend of the leading Primary School curricula. It is important to begin foundations of knowledge in the early grades because that is when children are the most receptive. As a private, independent school, teachers are free to think about how to best teach the material. They can bring their own personal knowledge, enthusiasm, and interest into teaching the curriculum topics.
Our curriculum and culture form the basis for true lifelong learning. And while there's more to a child's education than test scores, Carolina Prep's ITBS scores attest to the continued success of our program.
