BJ Norris — Director
BJ Norris is a Greenville native and a graduate of the University of South Carolina Upstate. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Special Education with Learning Disabilities and Elementary Education Certification. She has experience in both Pre-School and Primary School classrooms, and was a Director at Palmetto Prep School in Greenville, SC. She has been with Carolina Prep since August 2010. Miss Norris enjoys attending Auburn football games, reading, hiking, exercising, and spending time with her family.
BJ Dillard — Administration
BJ Dillard graduated from Charleston Southern with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. She previously worked in the banking industry, and owned a mobile gymnastics company. BJ has worked with children since college, and is proud to have been a family nanny. She joined the Carolina Prep family in May 2011, and lives in Greenville with her husband and two sons.
Sarah Brown
Sarah Brown earned her BM in Music Education at Converse College. She has been involved with the Collegiate Music Educators National Conference, which helps music teachers to learn new and different ways to understand children and help them learn and appreciate music. She was a volunteer with Cowpens Middle School band's percussion section, a band camp percussion instructor at Spartanburg High School for four years, and the percussion instructor for the Palmetto Youth Orchestra. She has been employed with Carolina Prep since August 2010.
Amanda Powers
Amanda Powers was born in Hilton Head, SC. She moved to Greenville in May of 2008 and has enjoyed the family friendly atmosphere it has provided her two daughters. Mrs. Powers graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2008 with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education. She has worked with a variety of age groups tutoring elementary students and assisting church youth groups. Mrs. Powers enjoys spending time with her family, reading, shopping, and working as the PTA secretary for her daughter's school. She is excited to be working with the children and families at Carolina Prep.
Tina Brown
Tina Brown is a native of New England earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from Central Connecticut State University. She taught 6th Grade Language Arts and Reading in Jacksonville, Florida for 10 years and 3rd grade Title 1 in Orlando, Florida. She is a certified teacher in both Florida and South Carolina with an endorsement in ESOL (English as a Second Language). Mrs. Brown moved to Greenville County in 2008 with her husband, and two of their sons. Since moving to Greenville, she and her husband adopted two little sisters. She also has an adult son serving in the U.S. Navy as a Corpsman and studying Nursing. She enjoys traveling to visit her son and visiting family and friends in New England and Florida.
Molly Mosley
Molly Mosley is a native of Greenville, SC. She is currently pursuing a BA in Early Childhood Education from North Greenville University. Prior to working at Palmetto Prep, Molly worked in the Greenville County School District as an after-school teacher for Kindergarten and first graders at Pelham Road Elementary School. Molly has been a part of the Carolina Prep team since August 2010.
Carol Wilson
Carol Wilson is originally from England where after graduating from High School she pursued a career in banking. She came to Greenville in 1999 with her husband and two children. In 2009, after many years of volunteering with children in the Greenville County Schools, Mrs Wilson decided to take a position at The Temple of Israel Preschool as a Kindergarten aid. After graduating from an early education class at Greenville Technical College, Mrs Wilson joined Carolina Prep as a substitute teacher. In her spare time, Carol volunteers at Meals on Wheels and loves to read.
Brenda Hammonds
Brenda Hammonds has lived in the Mauldin/Simpsonville area since 1985. She graduated from Hillcrest High School and worked for the Greenville County School District for four years in the dietary department. She also worked at Riverside Nursing Center and Westside Nursing Center for five years, and was with Palmetto Prep for six years. Brenda lives in Pelzer with her husband. She has a daughter, a son, and five grandchildren. She has been with Carolina Prep since August 2010.
